Improve your App Store rankings with data-driven ASO. Every tool works in full on the free plan — most with no account, iOS-first.
ASOApp is an App Store Optimization platform designed for indie iOS developers. It helps developers research keywords, optimize metadata, analyze competitors, localize listings, and manage App Store growth workflows.
ASOApp is an App Store Optimization platform designed for indie iOS developers. It helps developers research keywords, optimize metadata, analyze competitors, localize listings, and manage App Store growth workflows. Every tool works in full on a free plan, which caps how much you use at once rather than which tools you get; PRO (€9 a month or €99 a year) lifts those caps. Keyword research, keyword discovery, the metadata builder and the top charts work without an account; rank tracking, competitor teardowns, the listing audit and App Discovery need a free account.
Indie iOS developers, solo founders and small app teams who do their own ASO. It is not built for agencies managing dozens of client apps or for enterprises that need seat management, SLAs or Android coverage — the established paid ASO platforms serve those cases better.
It scores every candidate keyword for difficulty, traffic and opportunity, then packs the highest-opportunity ones into a 30-character title, a 30-character subtitle and the 100-character keyword field, removing words duplicated across fields because iOS indexes all three as one combined pool. This is a deterministic algorithm, not a language model — the same inputs always produce the same output, and you edit every suggestion before it goes near App Store Connect.
The established paid platforms are broader products: iOS and Android, paid-search intelligence, years of stored market data, team seats and contracted support, on a monthly subscription. ASOApp is iOS-only, single-user, and covers keyword research, metadata, competitors and rank tracking — free to use, with one small optional subscription (PRO, €9 a month) that raises the free plan’s allowances rather than unlocking features. If you are one developer optimizing your own apps, ASOApp does the core job on the free plan; if you need Android, ad intelligence, stored history or a team workflow, a paid platform is the better fit.
From Apple’s own public endpoints — the iTunes Search API and App Store autocomplete — queried per storefront. Difficulty, traffic, opportunity and estimated daily searches are heuristics computed from that data. Apple publishes no official App Store search volume, so no tool can report a measured number; these are directional estimates for prioritization. See the data methodology page for the formulas.
Every tool works on the free plan, in full — and most of them with no account at all: keyword research, keyword discovery, the metadata builder, the top charts, the single-keyword check, rank tracking, competitor teardowns, the listing audit and App Discovery. The limits are on scale, never capability: 1 tracked app with 25 keywords, 3 saved competitors, 2 Discovery filters at a time, and a weekly or monthly email rather than a daily one. PRO (€9 a month or €99 a year) lifts all of them and adds rank-drop alerts and CSV export. Accounts created before these limits existed keep the old unlimited plan. Some tools need a free account, which is what keeps your work across devices.
